PAY: (P.B. – 3) Rs. 7,100/- - Rs. 37,600/- with Grade Pay Rs. 3,900/-

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: A degree of a recognized university or a diploma in Engineering or Technology of a recognized University/Institution.
AGE: Not more than 39 (thirty-nine) years.
The age limit shall be relaxable for the candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer) as per the orders of the Government as may be issued from time to time.
NATIONALITY: Must be a citizen of Indian.
SELECTION PROCEDURE
The prescribed ‘essential qualifications’ are the minimum and mere possession of the same does not entitle applicants to be called in for the interview. Where the number of applications received in response to the advertisement is large and it is not convenient or possible for the Commission to interview all the applicants the Commission may restrict the number of candidates for interview to a reasonable limit on the basis of either higher qualifications in the relevant subjects/higher standard of marks/grade obtained in the essential qualifications or on the basis of a Screening Test/Written Test.
The Commission may fix qualifying cut-off marks for all the categories of the vacancies in each level of examination, i.e. written, interview and aggregate.
Syllabus for Screening Test for recruitment to the post of Industrial Development Officer:
Full Marks: 100
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes
The test (objective type) will comprise 75 questions on General Studies including Science, Humanities, Industrial Scene & Industrial Potential in West Bengal & India and 25 questions on Mental Ability Test & Arithmetic (Madhyamik Standard of the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education), each carrying 1 mark.
APPLICATION FEE/INTIMATION CHARGES:
Rs. 160/- (Rupees one hundred sixty) only.
In addition to that, the candidates will be charged as follows:
For online payment through debit/credit cards: Convenience fee 1% of the examination fee subject to a minimum of Rs. 5/- (Rupees Five) only plus 18% G.S.T.on convenience fee.
For online payment through net banking: Convenience fee of Rs. 5/- (Rupees Five) only plus 18% G.S.T. on convenience fee.
For offline payment through bank counter: Service Charge of Rs. 20/- (Rupees Twenty) only.
S.C./S.T. candidates of West Bengal and Persons with disabilities (P.W.D.) having physical disability of 40% and above are not required to pay any fee.
OBC candidates of West Bengal are, however, required to pay the usual fee as aforesaid.
NO EXEMPTION OF FEE IS AVAILABLE TO S.C./S.T. CANDIDATES OF OTHER STATES.
No claim for refund of the fee will be entertained nor will it be held in reserve for any other examination.
