ABOUT EXAM:
THE ABILITY TO READ, WRITE AND SPEAK IN BENGALI IS AN ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION FOR RECRUITMENT TO THE POST AND SERVICE MENTIONED BELOW PROVIDED THAT THE SAID COMPULSORY REQUIREMENT OF KNOWLEDGE IN BENGALI IS NOT APPLICABLE FOR THOSE CANDIDATES WHOSE MOTHER TONGUE IS NEPALI. THIS WILL BE TESTED AT THE TIME OF THE INTERVIEW.

# THE CANDIDATURE OF A CANDIDATE, WHO SUBMITS MORE THAN ONE APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION TO THE SELECTION PROCEDURE, WILL BE CANCELED EVEN IF HE/SHE IS ADMITTED TO THE SAME.
HOW MANY TIMES IN A YEAR: Exam will be conducted as per requirement. Please follow the official site for current notification.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: Must have Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University;
Must have the minimum physical standard as mentioned below:

AGE: Must not be less than 18 (eighteen) years and not more than 39 (thirty-nine) years.
And upper age limit shall be relaxable in respect of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes or the Scheduled Tribes or the Other Backward Classes (Group A or Group B) or other reserved categories, if any, as per the extant rules of the Government.
PAY: (P.B. – 3) Rs. 7,100/- - Rs. 37,600/- with Grade Pay Rs. 3,900/-.
NATIONALITY: Must be a citizen of India.
SELECTION PROCEDURE
Scheme For Examination:
The examination shall be conducted in two parts:
PART-I: Written examination conducted by the Commission.
PART-II: Candidates will be called to PART-II (Personality Test) on the basis of the ranks in PART-I Examination. The Personality Test will be conducted by the Commission.
Final Merit List will be prepared on the basis of the total marks obtained in PART-I & PART-II Examinations taken together.
SYLLABUS FOR WRITTEN TEST:
Full marks: 200
Time: 1 Hour 30 Minutes
# Total number of questions will be 100 (75 questions on General Studies including Science & Humanities and 25 questions on Arithmetic problems).
# Questions on Arithmetic problems will be of Madhyamik Standard of WBBSE.
# Each question will carry 2 marks.
# Full marks will be 200.
The Commission may fix qualifying cut-off marks for all the categories of the vacancies in written examination and personality tests.
APPLICATION FEE:
Rs. 160/- (Rupees one hundred sixty) only.
In addition to that, the candidates will be charged as follows:
For online payment through debit/credit cards: Convenience fee 1% of the examination fee subject to a minimum of Rs. 5/- (Rupees Five) only plus 18% G.S.T.on convenience fee.
For online payment through net banking: Convenience fee of Rs. 5/- (Rupees Five) only plus 18% G.S.T. on convenience fee.
For offline payment through bank counter: Service Charge of Rs. 20/- (Rupees Twenty)only.
S.C./S.T. candidates of West Bengal and Persons with disabilities (P.W.D.) having physical disability of 40% and above are not required to pay any fee.
