EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: 

Essential: A Bachelor’s Degree in Travel / Tourism Management / Tourism Administration from a recognized University.

Or

A Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University with Post-Graduate Diploma in Travel / Tourism Management / Tourism Administration.

 

AGE:  Not more than 39 years.

 

NATIONALITY: 

Indian Citizens and such other nationals as declared eligible by the Government of India

 

SELECTION PROCEDURE:

The prescribed ‘qualifications’ are the minimum and mere possession of the same does not entitle applicants to be called in for the interview. 

Where the number of applications received in response to the advertisement is large and it is not convenient or possible for the Commission to interview all the applicants. 

So, the Commission may restrict the number of candidates for interview to a reasonable limit on the basis of a higher standard of marks/grade obtained in the essential qualification or on the basis of a Screening Test/Written Test

The Commission may fix qualifying cut-off marks for all the categories of the vacancies in each level of examination, i.e. written, interview and aggregate.

 

SCHEME OF EXAMINATION:

Screening Test will be objective type (MCQ) in 4 different series, viz., A, B, C & D.

# Number of questions: 100, each carrying 1 mark.

# Full marks: 100.

# Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes.

 

N.B.: There will be negative marking for wrong answers as per norms (1/3rd of the full mark for each wrong answer).

APPLICATION FEES/ INTIMATION CHARGES:

Rs. 160/- (Rupees one hundred sixty) only. 

 

In addition to that, the candidates will be charged as follows:

For online payment through debit/credit cards: Convenience fee 1% of the examination fee subject to a minimum of Rs. 5/- (Rupees Five) only plus 18% G.S.T.on convenience fee.

For online payment through net banking: Convenience fee of Rs. 5/- (Rupees Five) only plus 18% G.S.T. on convenience fee.

For offline payment through bank counter: Service Charge of Rs. 20/- (RupeesTwenty) only.

 

S.C./S.T. candidates of West Bengal and Persons with disabilities (P.W.D.) having physical disability of 40% and above are not required to pay any fee. OBC candidates of West Bengal are, however, required to pay the usual fee as aforesaid. NO EXEMPTION OF FEE IS AVAILABLE TO S.C./S.T. CANDIDATES OF OTHER STATES AND O.B.C. CANDIDATES. No claim for refund of the fee will be entertained nor will it be held in reserve for any other examination.
