ABOUT EXAM:
# Various categories of Medical Technologists Cadre of the West Bengal Sub-ordinate Health Services under Health & Family Welfare Department, Government of West Bengal.
# A candidate should verify from the notified rules that he/she is eligible. The condition prescribed cannot be relaxed.
# The recruitment shall be made by selection, but where a large number of applications are received, as a result of Advertisement, the Board may, for the purpose of short-listing, hold a preliminary examination.
Posts are temporary but likely to be permanent.
REGION: WEST BENGAL
MODE: Application shall be made in the format, as available, in the West Bengal Health Recruitment Board Website (www.wbhrb.in). Online applications Only.
HOW MANY TIMES IN A YEAR: Exam will be conducted as per requirement. Please follow the official site for current notification.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:
Passed Higher Secondary (10 + 2) Examination or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Biology and a two Years Diploma in Medical Technology in the concerned subject recognized by the state Medical Faculty of West Bengal under West Bengal Para Medical council, or conducted by any recognized Institution affiliated to any recognized University;
OR
A Bachelor Degree in Medical Technology of the subject concerned from any institution/University recognized by the Government of West Bengal;
OR
One year Diploma Course in the concerned subject in Medical Technology, where basic qualification of undergoing the said course is B.Sc. (Pure/Bio) offered by the West Bengal State Medical Faculty, or by any recognized University.
DESIRABLE: NIL.
AGE: Not less than 21 Years and not more than 39 Years.
Age may be relaxed for the SC, ST, and Other Backward Classes, Political Sufferers, displaced persons, or and Persons with Disabilities as per existing Government Rules or Orders issued from time to time.
NATIONALITY: Indian Citizens and such other nationals as declared eligible by the Government of India.
SELECTION PROCEDURE:
Please note that for recruitment of each post as stated, an initial merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained by the aspiring candidates as per the following distribution pattern of marks :

# Marks obtained in Higher Secondary (10+2) or its equivalent examinations in Science subjects
[Physics, Chemistry and Biology]: 25 (Max)
# Marks obtained in Diploma/Bachelor Degree in Medical Technology of subject concern: 50 (Max)
# Experience in State Govt. service (Permanent/Contractual)- 02 marks /year: 10 (max)
# Interview: 15 (Max)
APPLICATION FEES/ INTIMATION CHARGES:
Candidates must submit online the application fee amounting to Rs. 160/- (Rupees one hundred & sixty) only through GRPS (Govt. Receipt Portal System), Govt. of West Bengal under the Head of Account '0051-00-104-002-16'.
Money Order, Cheque, Bank Draft, Cash, etc. shall not be acceptable. No application shall be considered unless accompanied by the requisite application fee.
Candidates belonging to SC/ST of West Bengal and persons with disabilities specified under Disabilities Rule, 1999 (certificates obtained before the Advertisement date) are not required to pay any fee.
Such exemption of fee is, however, not applicable to any OBC (category A or B) candidate.
