PHYSICIST-CUM-RADIATION SAFETY OFFICER IN THE WEST BENGAL GENERAL SERVICE
EXAM NAME:
PHYSICIST-CUM-RADIATION SAFETY OFFICER IN THE WEST BENGAL GENERAL SERVICE UNDER THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH & FAMILY WELFARE.
ABOUT EXAM: A candidate should verify from the notified rules that he/she is eligible. The condition prescribed cannot be relaxed. The recruitment will be made by selection, but where a large number of applications are received, as a result of Advertisement, the Board may, for the purpose of short-listing, hold a preliminary examination.
Posts are temporary but likely to be permanent.
REGION: WEST BENGAL
MODE: Application shall be made in the format, as available, in the West Bengal Health Recruitment Board Website (www.wbhrb.in). Online applications Only.
HOW MANY TIMES IN A YEAR: Exam will be conducted as per requirement. Please follow the official site for current notification.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:
Master’s Degree in Physics or Electronics or Biophysics from a recognized University;
A post Graduate Degree or post-Graduate Diploma in Radiological or Medical Physics of a recognized University or Institution;
AND
A certificate of Radiation Safety Officer from Bhaba Atomic Research Centre or Atomic energy Regulatory Board.
OR
M.Sc. in Medical Physics from any recognized University along with the certificate of Radiation Safety Officer from Bhaba Atomic Research Centre or Atomic energy Regulatory Board.
AGE: Not more than 45 years.
Provided that the upper age limit may be relaxed for the SC, ST and other Backward Classes, Physically Handicapped and Ex-Serviceman as per rules and order of the Government.
NATIONALITY: Indian Citizens and such other nationals as declared eligible by the Government of India.

NOTE: After joining the service candidates will have to get authorization from Bhaba Atomic Research Centre or Atomic energy Regulatory Board to function as Radiation Safety Officer at the concerned Hospital or Institute.
APPLICATION FEES/ INTIMATION CHARGES:
Candidates must submit online the application fee amounting to Rs. 210/- (Rupees two hundred & ten) only through GRPS (Govt. Receipt Portal System), GOVT. of West Bengal under the Head of Account '0051-00-104-002-16'.
Money Order, Cheque, Bank Draft, Cash etc. shall not be acceptable.
No application shall be considered unless accompanied by the requisite application fee.
Candidates belonging to SC/ST of West Bengal and persons with disabilities specified under Disabilities Rule, 1999 (certificates obtained before the Advertisement date) are not required to pay any fee.
Such exemption of fee is, however, not applicable to any OBC (category A or B) candidate.
