ABOUT EXAM:
# A candidate should verify from the notified rules that he/she is eligible. The condition prescribed cannot be relaxed.
# The recruitment will be made by selection, but where a large number of applications are received, as a result of Advertisement, the Board may, for the purpose of short-listing, hold a preliminary examination.
Posts are temporary but likely to be permanent.

HOW MANY TIMES IN A YEAR: Exam will be conducted as per requirement. Please follow the official site for current notification.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:
Essential: Passed Higher Secondary Examination (10 + 2) from West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Examination, or it's equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology;
And
A Two Years Diploma Course in Physiotherapy recognized by the Government of West Bengal.
Desirable: Bachelor Degree in Physiotherapy recognized by the Government of West Bengal.
AGE: Not more than 39 Years.
The upper age limit may be relaxed for the candidates belonging to SC, ST, & Other Backward Classes as per Government Rules or Order issued from time to time.
NATIONALITY: Indian Citizens and such other nationals as declared eligible by the Government of India.
SELECTION PROCEDURE
Please note that for recruitment of the post as stated, an initial merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained by the aspiring candidates as per the following distribution pattern of marks:
Distribution pattern of marks or the post of Physiotherapist, Grade III :
# Marks obtained in Higher Secondary (10 + 2) or its equivalent examinations in Science subjects [Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology]: 25 (Max.)
# Marks obtained in Diploma (DPT)/Bachelor (BPT)/Master Degree in Physiotherapy recognised by Govt W.B.: 50 (Max.)
# Experience in State Govt. service (Permanent/Contractual)‐ 02 marks /year: 10 (Max.)
[Maximum last 5 years’ tenure of experience will be taken into account]
# Interview: 15 (Max)

APPLICATION FEES/ INTIMATION CHARGES:
Candidates must submit the online application fee amounting to Rs. 160/- (Rupees one hundred & sixty) only through Banks participating in the GRPS (Govt. Receipt Portal System), Govt. of West Bengal at Govt. Receipt Head of Account '0051-00-104-002-16'.
Money order, Cheque, Bank Draft, Cash, etc. shall not be acceptable.
No application shall be considered unless accompanied by the requisite application fee excepting Candidates belonging to the SC/ST category of West Bengal and persons with disabilities specified under Disabilities Rule, 1999 (certificates obtained before the Advertisement date) who do not require to pay any fee. Such exemption of fee is, however, not applicable to any OBC (category A or B) candidate.
