(v) None of these

Solution:

(1)

The total number of students of class V is 40

Male : Female = 5 : 3

Option (ii) is correct.

(2)

Student of Class VI 35

Student of Class VIII 30

The ratio of student between Class VI and Class VII is 35 : 30 = 7 : 6

Option (i) is correct.

(3)

The total number of student of Class IX is 45

The total number of student of Class VIII is 30

Option (ii) is correct.

(4)

The total number of students of class VII is 45

Male : Female = 4 : 5

The total number of students of Class VIII is 30

Male : Female = 3 : 2

Total male students in class VII and VIII is 20 + 18 = 38

Option (ii) is right.

(5)

The difference between the student of class IX and Class VI is (45 - 35) = 10

Option (iii) is correct.

Example 2:

Study the following information and answer the related question.

The following bar graph represents the data regarding the number of leds sold from different stores from a different year.

Q.1. Find the ratio between led sold by store A in 2010 to led sold by store B in 2014.

(i) 7 : 8

(ii) 6 : 7

(iii) 1 : 1

(iv) 10 : 9

(v) None of these

Q.2. What is the difference between total led sold by store C and Store D in 2014 and total led sold by store A and store B in 2012?

(i) 5

(ii) 10

(iii) 15

(iv) 20

(v) None of these

Q.3. Sell of led in Store A increases by how much percent from 2010 to 2012.

(i) 40 %

(ii) 50 %

(iii) 60 %

(iv) 70%

(v) None of these

Q.4. Sell of led in Store D in 2012 is how much percent less than sell of led in store D in 2014?

(i) 25 %

(ii) 30 %

(iii) 45 %

(iv) 50%

(v) None of these

Q.5. Find the ratio between total led sold by store B in 2010 and 2014 and total led sold by store D in 2010 and 2012.

(i) 8 : 9

(ii) 7 : 8

(iii) 9 : 10

(iv) 10 :11

(v) None of these

Solution:

(1)

Led sold by store A in 2010 is 50

Led sold by store  B   in 2014 is 50

So, ratio is 50 : 50 = 1 : 1

Option (iii) is right.

(2)

Total led sold by Store C and D in 2014 is 75 + 60 = 135

Total led sold by Store A and B in 2012 is 75 +  55 = 130

So, difference is 135 – 130 = 5

Option (i) is right.

(3)

Sell of led in Store A in 2010 is 50

Sell of led in store A in 2012 is 75

Increase = 75 – 50 = 25

Option (ii) is right.

(4)

Sell of led in store D in 2012 is 45

Sell of led in Store D in 2014 is 60

Option (i) is correct.

(5)

Total led sold by store B in 2010 and 2014 is 40 + 50 = 90

Total led sold by Store D in 2010 and 2012 is 45 + 55 = 100

Ratio is 90: 100 = 9 : 10

Option (iii) is right.
